For Performing and Teaching Artists

Wednesday 26 April from 10 – 3pm – including lunch visit to Aberdeen Art Gallery

Led by What Moves You’s Director, Dawn Hartley in collaboration with Frozen Charlotte’s Artistic Director, Heather Fulton and Associate Director, Brenda Murphy, this exploratory day offers transferable skills with practical, creative play in a supportive environment to artists with an interest in using dance and theatre to make work for children.

What to expect? Dawn, with Niamh O’Loughlin and Laura Booth, will share movement skills and their experience of making My Friend Selkie, an effective interactive dance performance. We'll encourage everybody to enjoy moving in their own ways.

Heather and Brenda of Frozen Charlotte will lead play-based, creative explorations, giving insight into the devising process behind the company’s award-winning shows for young audiences. https://www.frozencharlotte.com/

Thanks to funding from Aberdeen City Council, we can also offer artists who would not otherwise be able to attend a £50 Attendance Fee (towards carer or travel costs, for example). Please email Dawn to request this. Limited places
